Our Story – Where Compassion Meets Purpose
In rural Karnataka, many children born with physical or intellectual disabilities
face a silent injustice—they are kept away from classrooms, denied learning opportunities,
and often treated as if their lives hold less value.
For their parents, each day is a struggle—watching their child’s dreams fade
simply because society doesn’t have the space, resources, or patience to nurture them.
This reality deeply moved Mrs Mallamma Sharangouda, a passionate social worker
who had spent years helping rural communities. The turning point came when he met a young boy who,
despite his disability, had an unshakable desire to go to school. But no school was ready to accept him.
That day, Mrs. Patil made a promise—
“No special child in our Yadgir District will ever be denied the right to learn.”
The Birth of MGHSS
Founded with love and determination, MGHSS became a safe haven for children with
disabilities—offering them not just education, but dignity, care, and a sense of belonging.
What began as a small initiative is now a thriving center, nurturing over 100 special children
from Shahapur and nearby villages in Yadgiri district. Here, each child is taught at their own pace,
encouraged to develop their abilities, and supported to live as independently as possible.

• Provide inclusive education tailored to each child’s needs.
• Build life skills for independence and self-confidence.
• Offer emotional and social support to children and their families.
• Create awareness so society values diversity and inclusion.
